After establishing its first K-6 school in Puri Indah in 2019, Hope Academy began construction of its second school in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 on Thursday, August 31, 2023. The new K-12 school will be part of a larger educational complex under YPPH, which will also include higher education programs under Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH).

Hope Academy North Campus, which will be built on a 15,000 sqm land, is set to begin its first academic year starting July 2025. The school will offer programs at the Kindergarten, Junior, and Senior School levels. The school will use the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum alongside a wide range of co-curricular activities and student support functions to support each child’s unique development.

The new school facilities will include a music studio, art studio, cooking studio, pottery studio, makerspace, science lab, collaborative space, sensory rooms, soccer fields, basketball courts, swimming pools, performing arts theatre, and childcare facility.

Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (YPPH) envisions Hope Academy as a modern style of education using a Christ-centered, student-focused, interdisciplinary, inquiry-based, and project-based approaches to teaching and learning.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by YPPH executive director Stephanie Riady, YPPH senior advisor Adrianus Mooy, Hope Academy school system coordinator Wiginy Kusliawan, Hotels and Malls Amantara CEO Natalia Kusumo, YPPH founder Dr. James Riady, Agung Sedayu Group chairman Sugianto Kusuma, Tangerang Regency Education Agency secretary Fahrudin, YPPH chairman Dr. Jonathan L. Parapak, YPPH supervisory board chairwoman Minny Riady and YPPH patron Aileen Riady.

Hope Academy’s expansion reflects YPPH’s commitment to provide a holistic and dynamic education system that supports child development in a rapidly changing world by equipping them not just with cognitive excellence, but also faith in Christ and godly character.

The construction of Hope Academy @PIK2, designed for a school population of 1,000 students, is expected to be completed in early 2025. The first school year will begin in July 2025.
