YPPH to host the Conference of the Council of Christian Education in Indonesia

In March and June 2023, YPPH will host the National Coordination and Conference of the Council of Christian Education in Indonesia. The coordination event, which will involve the five stakeholders of the council, will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. The decisions made during the event will then be communicated in the June 2023 national conference, inviting 1500 representatives of various Christian educational institutions across the nation.
This conference was initiated after the council’s stakeholders observed a drastically declining number of Christian schools nationally. During the past decade, the Indonesian Christian community has welcomed 10 million lives from various backgrounds. Sadly, the increase is not on par with the number of Christian teachers prepared to provide Christ-centered education to Indonesian students. Thus, the nation’s Christian schools are rapidly losing the essence of Christian education and their identity.
YPPH was specifically selected to be the host of the conference because the council has acknowledged our Christian education system to be ideal and standardized to provide a comprehensive biblical worldview. As a role model that is looked upon by communities under the council, YPPH is entrusted with the task of creating a decision-making moment for the stakeholders about the continuity of Christian education in the country. It will also be the moment to challenge the prominent figures of the Christian communities to synergize and make a move for the sake of Christian education in Indonesia.
