Before the age of 30, equipped with both strong academic foundations and strong values, Melvin had been named Managing Director at Northstar Group, a leading private equity and venture capital fund that supports promising early-stage companies. He had also been an Official Delegate of Indonesia to the 2017 G20 Youth Summit in Berlin, Germany. And he had been named a member of Forbes Indonesia’s prestigious “30 Under 30” class of 2020 and Forbes Asia "30 under 30" in 2022.

He recalls the thought-provoking questions asked during his favorite Biblical studies classes at SPH: “Who is Man?”, “Why am I here in this world?” and, “Who is God?”

“At the time, I didn’t realize how very insightful and impactful they would be for me as a person,” he says.

Now at Northstar Group, he is answering one of those questions by funding gifted entrepreneurs, not just in Indonesia but across Southeast Asia.
